During the sign-up process you’ll be able to create an account, add your GP surgery and set a home address. You can then add the repeat prescription medication you need so that Echo can contact your GP on your behalf to start ordering your medication. Through the Echo repeat prescription service you can continue to benefit from free reminders and delivery.
If you already have your NHS repeat prescription dispensed and delivered by us, you can continue to use our repeat delivery service until December 2019. After December 2019, you’ll need to register with our new partner, Echo by LloydsPharmacy, who work with your NHS England GP to take care of your repeat prescription.

Our Echo by LloydsPharmacy NHS online repeat prescription service is free including delivery , although you will have to pay for your NHS prescription medicines, unless you are NHS exempt. For up-to-date NHS exemptions and prescription costs click here.
It’s best to place your request for your repeat prescription 5-10 days before you need your medication to arrive. But don’t worry, you can use the app to set helpful reminders. This allows time for your GP to authorise the prescription(s), our pharmacy team to dispense your medication and Royal Mail to deliver it.
We will send your prescription request to your GP. Once we’ve received your prescription, it can take several working days for us to dispense and then dispatch your medication. Deliveries will then be made to your chosen address within 48 hours.
No, you don’t need to be in to receive your delivery. Most medication that we send should fit through a standard size letterbox.
If your medication will not fit through your letterbox, Royal Mail will let you know how you can rearrange delivery or collection.
NHS repeat prescription medicines are delivered to your chosen UK address free via the Royal Mail 48-hour service.
We use the NHS England Electronic Prescription Service to receive your prescription(s) electronically from your GP. Therefore, this service is not available in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man.
The Electronic Prescription Service is an NHS service that allows your GP to electronically send your repeat prescription(s) directly to your chosen pharmacy.
EPS also allows you to nominate Echo by LloydsPharmacy as your online pharmacy so there’s no need to visit your local pharmacy or GP to collect a repeat prescription. To find out more click here.
