Patches
Patches are stuck to your skin, usually on the upper arm or thigh.  They contain nicotine, which is released gradually in to the body through the skin.  Two types of patches are available:

24 hour patches

These provide a steady flow of nicotine to your body over a 24 hour period.  They are particularly helpful if you have cravings first thing in the morning.  You wear the patch all the time, applying a new one everyday.

Patches are available in three different strengths or steps.  These steps allow you to gradually wean yourself off nicotine while relieving your cravings and physical withdrawal symptoms.
