Breastfeeding is best for babies. You should always seek the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietician or pharmacist on the need for and proper method of use of infant formulae and on all matters of infant feeding. SMA Wysoy milk-free formula is intended to meet the nutritional needs of infants and children who are intolerant to cows' milk protein, lactose or sucrose. SMA Wysoy is not suitable for premature babies or those with kidney problems, where medical guidance should always be sought.
Good dental hygiene is as important for babies and toddlers as it is for older children and adults. Prolonged or frequent contact of drinks or feeds with the teeth, e.g. from using bottles or beakers as comforters, increases the risk of tooth decay. Use a cup or beaker by 6 months if possible, and in any case as soon as the first tooth appears. In accordance with normal dental hygiene, your baby's teeth should be cleaned after the last feed at night. Ask your healthcare professional or dentist for advice. Never leave your baby alone during feeding.
Scoop may become submerged in the powder during transit.

Preparing your baby's feed.
Whilst this product is made under strict hygiene conditions, it is not sterile. Failure to follow instructions on preparation and storage may make your baby ill.
1. Wash hands well. Sterilise all utensils according to manufacturers' instructions.
2. Boil kettle filled with fresh tap water. Allow boiled water to cool for between 25 - 30 minutes before measuring the required amount of water (see feeding guide) into the sterilised bottle, carefully - the water is hot. Do not use artificially softened water or repeatedly boiled water.
3. Using the scoop provided in this can, add the correct number of scoops of powder (see feeding guide), levelling off each scoop with the back of a clean dry knife. Replace plastic lid on can.
4. Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well. Cool bottle under cold running water until lukewarm. Test temperature by shaking a few drops onto the inside of your wrist.
If advance preparation is necessary, consult your healthcare professional.
