If you need a private prescription, our UK-registered Online Doctor can provide fast treatment and advice without a face-to-face appointment.

It’s a safe, convenient and a discreet way to get prescription treatment. Plus, you can choose whether to pick your medication up from one of over 1,500 LloydsPharmacy stores the next day, or have it delivered free.

LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor is a safe, discreet and convenient way to obtain prescription medicines without having to see a doctor face-to-face. The efficient online service caters to a wide range of medical conditions and healthcare needs. All doctors are GMC registered and each provides exceptional care to the highest UK medical standards.

Requesting your one-off NHS prescription

If you have visited your doctor and been issued a NHS prescription, Echo by LloydsPharmacy can deliver your medication to an address of your choice for free. You’ll either need to nominate Echo by LloydsPharmacy as your online pharmacy to receive this delivery service, or you will need to post your paper prescription with a form to our Echo pharmacy team.

Delivering your prescription is safe and secure, and most prescription items can be delivered through your letterbox. For your peace of mind, we’ll send your prescription via Royal Mail 24 or 48-hour delivery in tamper-proof packaging.

Yes, LloydsPharmacy has acquired Echo, an online pharmacy that works with the NHS to supply repeat prescriptions. Echo makes managing your prescriptions more convenient and easier. Simply sign up via their app or website to have your prescriptions dispensed and delivered to your door, for free.

It’s simple to receive your repeat prescription through Echo by LloydsPharmacy and their online repeat prescription service. Firstly you’ll need to download the Echo app on iOS or Android, or sign-up at Echo by LloydsPharmacy

During the sign-up process you’ll be able to create an account, add your GP surgery, and set a home address. You can then add the repeat prescription medication you need so that Echo can contact your GP on your behalf to start ordering your medication. Through the Echo repeat prescription service you can continue to benefit from free reminders and delivery.



Our NHS repeat prescription service and delivery is free, although you may have to pay for your NHS prescription medicines, unless you are NHS exempt. Find out more about NHS prescription costs in England here.



When requesting private prescriptions, the cost will be displayed once the item has been selected and added to your basket. All private prescription items have a minimum order value of £7.00, so if your medication totals less than £7.00 you will still be charged this amount as a minimum.



If you have a signed private prescription please send it to: FREEPOST J B & C DISPENSARY. Please note we must receive your prescription before we can dispense and send out your medication.



If you have a paper NHS prescription from your GP you will need to send this to our Echo by LloydsPharmacy team so that they can dispense and deliver your medication. Your paper prescription will need to be posted with an Echo form. For more details, and to download your form click here.



LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor is suitable for those who do not already have an NHS or private prescription but may still require treatment. Simple to use, you just need to complete a free online assessment or consultation. Once completed, a clinician will assess your answers and if appropriate will issue a prescription for treatment. All clinicians are GMC/GPhC registered, and each provides exceptional care to the highest UK medical standards.

Our repeat NHS service from Echo by LloydsPharmacy is for those who already have an ongoing prescription from their GP.



Once you receive email confirmation that we have processed your prescription, your medicines will be dispatched via standard Royal Mail 48-hour delivery. Please allow between 3-5 working days for postal delays or weekend delivery.



Not if you are using our online prescription service from Echo by LloydsPharmacy to receive repeat NHS prescriptions or one-off NHS prescriptions which have already been prescribed. Medication delivered by Echo is sent through your letterbox in tamper-free packaging. In the unlikely event that your medication doesn’t fit, Royal Mail will leave details for collection or redelivery.

If you have been prescribed private medication by LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor and requested LloydsPharmacy to deliver your private prescription, or if you have ordered a one-off private prescription via the LloydsPharmacy website then this delivery must be signed for by you, or a nominated representative who is 16 years old or over. If no one is available to receive your delivery, then Royal Mail will let you know how you can rearrange delivery or collection.



If you have nominated Echo by LloydsPharmacy to dispense your repeat prescriptions or one-off NHS prescriptions which have already been prescribed, we are based at Unit 1 Westpoint Trading Estate, Alliance Road, Acton, W3 0RA (“Echo”). Echo’s pharmacy is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as Metabolic Healthcare Ltd under registration number 9011008. The Superintendent Pharmacist is Shamir Shah.

If you receive your private prescriptions via the LloydsPharmacy online delivery service, we are based at John Bell & Croyden, 50-54 Wigmore Street, London, W1U 2AU, UK. The Superintendent Pharmacist is Claudio Del Duca. The registered pharmacy number is 1041345. We have a Responsible Pharmacist present at all times to oversee the dispensing of your medication. If you require any medication urgently we recommend that you get your prescription dispensed at your local LloydsPharmacy. This would include medication for palliative care, acute antibiotics or any regular medication which you are due to run out of.



If your prescription changes just update your medicine order on our site and our team will manage the rest for you.

Yes, veterinary prescription medicines are available from These can be processed following the simple steps on our one-off private prescription page.



Requesting your private prescription to be dispensed through our online service is simple. Just search for your required item(s), select the item strength and quantity and add to your basket. Once you have gone through the checkout process and purchased the item(s) you’ll need to send us your paper prescription. You can send this to us at JB&C FREEPOST



Repeat NHS prescription medication that needs to be stored in the fridge can be dispensed with Echo by LloydsPharmacy. Chilled (cold-chain) medication is sent via the Royal Mail 24 hour signed-for service. Each box is packed with Woolcool Insulation. Find out more about chilled medication delivery here.

Echo by LloydsPharmacy can dispense controlled drugs via paper and electronic prescriptions. If you have a paper prescription you will need to post this to Echo to be processed. It can take up to four working days for your prescription to be processed. Controlled drugs are sent via Royal Mail 48 hour signed-for service.
