Some questions you may have…

I bought my NiQuitin patches a while ago. I’m now ready to quit, so can I still use them?

Unopened NiQuitin patches can be used up to the expiry date on the pack. Once the pack is opened, the patch should be applied immediately as it can lose nicotine on exposure to air… which will reduce its effectiveness in beating cravings.

How do I use the NiQuitin Lozenge?

Place a single lozenge in your mouth and let it dissolve naturally in order to get the best dose of therapeutic nicotine. Move the lozenge from one side of the mouth to the other until completely dissolved; this should take 20-30 minutes. Do not chew or swallow the lozenge whole.

Are therapeutic nicotine products just as dangerous as cigarettes?

No, this is a myth. Products such as patches, gums, and lozenges have a great safety record and are much safer than smoking.

Will chewing more than one piece of NiQuitin gum at any one time reduce my cravings even more?

No, each piece of gum is designed to provide you with the right amount of nicotine to tackle your cravings and withdrawal symptoms effectively. Therefore, it is not advised to chew more than one piece of gum at a time.

Are nicotine-based stop smoking treatments addictive?

All NiQuitin products are especially designed to provide a temporary source of therapeutic nicotine at the correct amount of strength required, which is dependent on the amount of cigarettes you previously smoked or the stage you are at in quitting smoking.
