LloydsPharmacy Charity Partnership

LloydsPharmacy has proudly been supporting the Dementia Friends initiative since Dementia Awareness Week in May 2014 by growing our own community of Dementia Friends amongst colleagues.

In 2015 we wanted to take that support further by becoming official corporate supporters of Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland. There are now over 850,000 people living with dementia and this number is expected to grow to one million by 2025. There are also 670,000 carers of people with dementia in the UK.

Through our outreach to local communities, we aim to work closely with Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland to raise awareness of dementia and improve access to information, advice and services in order to enhance the quality of life for patients as well as carers.
Our Focus
As the UK’s leading community pharmacy, the health and wellbeing of our customers is our top priority.

At LloydsPharmacy we primarily support charities which have a beneficial impact on people’s health and wellbeing. Rather than trying to support many charities during the course of the year, we have made a commitment to one National Charity Partner.

We display information about our National Charity Partner throughout our pharmacies along with their collection boxes and encourage our employees to take part in national and local events to raise funds and awareness for the National Charity Partner.

We have taken this streamlined approach because we believe that this is the best way for us to establish a mutually beneficial partnership and make a real and lasting difference to the charities we support and the people with whom they work.

Our policy, therefore, is not to support general requests for donations for vouchers or money.
