What is The Electronic Prescription Service?

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is a new NHS service that allows your GP to send your prescription(s) directly to your chosen pharmacy. This means that you can choose to have a paper-free prescription.

Who is it for?

Electronic prescriptions will be of particular benefit if:

  • You have a repeat prescription and don’t want to collect it from your GP every time
  • You collect your medicines from the same place most of the time
  • You use a repeat prescription service

3 reasons to use Electronic Prescriptions

1. You can choose a pharmacy that suits you

2. Less trips to your GP to collect repeat prescriptions

3. Free service
