LloydsPharmacy National Carers Awards 2016
Let’s take time to thank the carers in our lives
Here at LloydsPharmacy we know, first-hand, about the amazing work unpaid carers do. We know because one in every five1 of our customers who come through our pharmacy doors are looking after someone. They may be a relative, a friend or a neighbour who needs help picking up their medicine, or more involved, round-the-clock care. No matter how big or small, a carer’s support can make all the difference in helping a loved one get the most out of life.
This is why we launched the LloydsPharmacy National Carers Awards in 2014, and why we have teamed-up with the charity Carers UK to run the awards again for a third year. We want to continue to raise awareness of, and pay tribute to, the approximately 6.5 million unpaid carers across the UK.
Carers Week 2016
This is an annual campaign that helps raise awareness of caring and shines the spotlight on the challenges that carers, and young carers face. Their contribution to families and communities is recognised.
The LloydsPharmacy National Carers Awards 2016 will highlight the joys and challenges of caring and will honour carers’ huge contribution to communities across England, Scotland and Wales.
LloydsPharmacy National Carer Awards
Show the carers in your life that you care and nominate them as a National Carer of the Year. It could be your mum who’s devoted to caring for your dad; a friend or colleague who cares for their neighbour; or your own partner who cares for you.
How to nominate your choice for National Carer of the Year
Now’s your chance to say thank you to someone who’s made a difference by telling their story in no more than 400 words and nominating them as one of our five Carers of the Year.
LloydsPharmacy Caring Colleague of the Year
Alongside the National Carers Awards we’re also looking for one amazing LloydsPharmacy team member who has made a difference to those who receive or give care. Is there someone at your local LloydsPharmacy who has gone that extra mile and helped to make your situation a bit easier? If so, we’d like to hear about them.
How to nominate your choice for LloydsPharmacy Carer of the Year
Tell us, in no more than 400 words, why you are nominating your LloydsPharmacy team member and how they’ve made a difference to people who need care and/or their carers.
The winners will be chosen by a panel of five judges, including representatives from Carers UK, LloydsPharmacy and independent parties.
The nationwide campaign will conclude with a special awards ceremony at The Millennium Hotel Mayfair, London, on Thursday 26th May, 2016, with proceeds from the event being donated to Carers UK.
