The electrostatically-charged collection plates magnetically trap airborne particles and pollutants such as dust, dust mites, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, airborne chemicals, mold and numerous other microbes as small as 0.01 microns. The 'twist and pull' stainless-steel plates are easily removed for periodic cleaning. The long lasting, anti-corrosive metal plates require a simple wipe with a damp cloth.
Germicidal UV Light destroys micro-organisms such as germs, viruses and bacteria, and helps create a healthier environment. UV Light is recommended by Centers for Disease Control in the US. Germicidal UV lamp is installed near the air inlet at the back of the machine. Back cover of the XJ-2100UV unit can be easily removed for replacement of the lamp or cleaning the interior of the machine.
The built-in fan serves two purposes....It effectively circulates airborne pollutants past the dust collection plates removing them from the air and it creates an air current to increase the circulation of the air-cleaning negative ions throughout the room. The fan can be independently controlled for silent operation when desired.
The XJ-2100UV is economical to own. Electrical costs are approximately £4.5 per year. There are no ongoing maintenance costs or filters to replace. The XJ-2100UV is extremely affordable making it feasible to place a unit in every room for maximum effectiveness.
