The outlook for men with erectile dysfunction (ED) has improved enormously – so much so that almost all patients nowadays can be assured of a return to fairly successful intercourse. Many of these males feel that the new treatments for erection difficulty (formerly known as 'impotence' or 'impotency') have transformed their lives.
What is erectile dysfunction?
First, let's define the problem. ED means an inability to get a good enough erection to achieve satisfactory intercourse. A variety of effective treatment options are now available for men with erectile dysfunction (ED). This means the sooner you make an appointment to see your GP, the sooner your sex life can return to normal.
What if one ED treatment doesn't work?
Often the initial attempt at treating ED with tablet treatment fails. This happens either as a result of the treatment dosage being too small, or the individual concerned misunderstanding how the treatment works and how to use it to their best advantage. This doesn't mean that subsequent attempts are doomed to failure. Levitra works by increasing blood flow into the erectile tissue of the penis. Levitra does not have an effect on your sexual desire, but will improve your erection if you are sexually aroused.
Take one tablet at least an hour before sex. Never take more than one tablet within a 24 hour period. Avoid taking Levitra with more than one or two units of alcohol as alcohol can limit its effectiveness. Eating a high-fat meal before taking Levitra should not delay the positive effects of Levitra.
Does masturbation cause ED?
Frequent masturbation does not cause erectile dysfunction. In fact, the old adage 'if you don't use it, you lose it' is true to a large degree, especially as you get older. So don't feel remorse or guilt, but approach your doctor for assessment and treatment of your problems. There is a very good chance that successful treatment is available.
